Thank you for visiting Money Resolutions. I want to personally thank you for taking time to stop by. I am here to assist you in your journey through the challenges that come from your finances and career. Very recently there have been messages delivered into my life that really kick me in the seat of my pants. It is the swift kick that pushes us over the edge and causes us to take action. I want to help you have a more meaningful life by coming along side you in your pursuit of work you love, and in navigating the often difficult issue of money.
For several years I traveled the country with a ministry team. It was on the road that I begin to develop an interest in understanding how money works. Every opportunity to read or listen to good programs on the subject was a joy. I begin trying to decide what I wanted to be when I “grew up”. A career in counseling was the direction I wanted to go. Helping the people we meet and know in life is what it is about. There is truly no greater joy than giving of yourself, you know the one that says “it is better to give than to receive”.
Soon before the end of my time on the road, I found a company that was “recruiting” for the financial services industry. They really had it together, music to pump you up before the meeting, and high fives to boot. That was not my initial reason for entering the business, but it did get me started. A few days after the first meeting or two the study for insurance and securities licensing began. Upon successfully passing and waiting weeks to be ‘legit” it was time to rock and roll. Finally the people I worked with decided it was time to make change of broker dealers, to quieten the music before our meetings so to speak. The move was a great idea except for the fact that my wait started all over again. Weeks went by before I could “do business”. Lets shorten this a bit, after the third, change my time was up. How can you make a living waiting?
Some time passed after I left the business and I found Dave Ramsey. His common sense approach fueled my love for the subject and I realized that it is possible to coach people without selling them a product. Promptly on hearing of the certification process Dave and his team provide, I signed up. Later I would go back for training on The Workplace Edition of Financial Peace as well.
The journey from being on the road to today brought about Money Resolutions. Resolution is defined as 1: the act or process of resolving as a : the act of analyzing a complex notion into simpler ones b : the act of answering : solving. C : the act of determining.
Simply put I am here to help you break down the subject of money and how it relates to your life.
